Love it or Leave it

Hi guys!

This is going to be a new feature on my blog! Hopefully one will be uploaded every week! I'm going to review different  products and tell you my opinions on whether I LOVE them or I'll LEAVE them!
Of course your opinions on some products will differ from mine and that's fine! We can't all love the same products and we won't as we all have different skin types!

Today's first love it or leave it product is Freedoms Pro Melt lipsticks.
These retail at £3 and come in 8 shades ranging from nude to blue! Or you can buy the whole collection for £18.
The shade I bought to try out is 'D-ream'. I thought I'd buy one and if I loved them I'd buy more. I'm a sod for buying all the shades of something new and then not being keen on them. So this time I was sensible!

The left side is from first thing in the morning. Well I say first thing it was 9.30.
And the right is what was left by 4.30. So I did have it on for a good 7 hours and I worked, talked, drank and ate lunch in this time.
On first application it feels really thick and creamy and also very moisturising. The finish is not a gloss, more of a sheen which I prefer. The texture feels smooth on the lips and not sticky! Which is a big thumbs up from me! I can't stand a sticky lip product!
All morning whilst I was working, talking and drinking it stayed on fine. The sheen stayed too, it didn't matte up like I thought it might as the day went on. By lunch time it still looked good, still felt moisturising, not drying at all. After I'd eaten lunch it looked ok. I'm one for normally re-applying lip products after lunch anyway but today I let it be because I was testing it out.
By 4.30 the sheen had completely worn off and had left more of a stain on my lips. Which again I don't mind as it still gives you a look of wearing something. The only place it had started to wear off was more the centre part of my lips, but still not too bad.

Overall I LOVE it! I'm definitely going to buy more. They will easily last a whole working day and the best bit for me, is it never dried my lips out even when it had just left the stain. This colour is a great day/work colour too! Definitely recommended!

Freedom London Blush Dupe!

Hi guys!

Freedom London have some great dupe products in their collection. I love the high end version but for everyday use I would happily use the drugstore one and keep the high end for going out and special occasions.

So the high end product I'm comparing is the blush 'Orgasm' from Nars to Freedom Londons blush 'Beyond'.

As you can see to look at them in the pan they are not completely identical. The Nars one is more pink compared to Freedoms more peachy toned blush. But the gold sheen they have going through them are both absolutely stunning. I could even go as far to say you get more of a glow with Freedoms Beyond blush.

I've swatched them with and without the flash so you can see them in all lights. As you can see in the picture with the flash how much glow the Beyond blush has compared. I think once swatched they look so similar. As for lasting power they both last all day long with no fading.

Price difference is immense however. Nars Orgasm is £23 whilst Freedoms Beyond is an amazing £1. Yup you really did just read that right!

So overall if you love Nars Orgasm blush, but don't like it's price tag, definitely give Freedoms Beyond a try!

Freedom London Makeup

Hi guys!

I was super excited to receive this package last week. I had been seeing and reading a lot of good things about freedom makeup, so naturally I had to jump on that bandwagon and try some out for myself. I took advantage of an awesome deal they had on which was to spend £25 and you got 15 free products worth £25. Good deal hey!
I loved the fact that they told you what you were getting free instead of randomly picking some items when packing, as that way you sometimes end up with duplicates. Soon as you went to your online basket the 15 products were in there.
The other thing I love about receiving freebie products is that you do get some products that you wouldn't normally pick out for yourself, but actually end up loving. Which has happened with one of the lipsticks I got free.

Expect lots of blog reviews, once I've used the products enough to really get a good view on what I think about them. And also MOTD's.

I'll link Freedom Londons website here http://www.freedommakeuplondon.com/ if you want to go and check it out. One product I will suggest you try already is the blusher called 'Beyond'. It's stunning! I have a blog post coming on this blush next! This is me wearing it last weekend.

Feeling Motivated!

Hi Guys

I've recently filmed a chatty video on this topic on my YouTube channel, but felt I wanted to blog about it too. There's always things I will have missed out or since want to add in.

How do you motivate yourself? Not specifically for dieting like I am, but for anything whether it's becoming fitter, giving something up or wanting to do well at work.

As I said in my video I don't think anyone can physically motivate someone else. It all has to come from you. Don't get me wrong, I believe others can definitely encourage you, and give you ideas to help you along the way, but I think it mainly has to come from within.

For me and my dieting journey, being in the right frame of mind is the game changer. As soon as that disappears, so does my will power. I definitely think losing weight in a group is helpful as we have all given each other ideas for meals so we don't get bored. However for the last few weeks I've been calorie counting with my fitness pal app (which is awesome). So my meals have been very different from what I tend to eat if I was on slimming world. I think because over the last few weeks I've been losing well on it I'm going to stick with it until my holiday. That's the other big motivation for me at the moment. I have 7 weeks until I go on holiday and the thought of wearing swimwear is enough to help me stick to it. Haha!
I did say I'd like to lose another stone by then but you just never know what's going to occur along the way so I won't be promising anything.

One of my biggest motivations recently was buying some jeans from Primark. Now this may not seem like a big deal to a lot of people but Primark jeans (especially) have always come up small so I just haven't even bothered trying them. But now I'm 3lbs off 2st I decided to try some on. AND THEY FITTED PERFECTLY! I was so pleased with this. Especially as this pair were in the sale for £5. Bargain! I've always struggled to find jeans I'm comfy in. These ones are also high waisted so make my tummy flatter! Bonus!
So definitely a clothing item can be a big motivation!
Here's me in my new Primark jeans. What do we think? :-)

Like I said before I'd love to know what helps you become motivated and stay motivated!

#OOTD

Hi Guys

Here's a little outfit of the day post for you!

I've recently bought this little combo from peacocks. The vest is just from there basics range and is one of my fave colours.

I had originally tried these shorts on with a bright yellow bandeau style top and it did look really nice, but I'm not much of a yellow person, so opted for peach! Although with these shorts there are so many different colours you could put with them to make a different look!

The shorts cost just £8! Bargain! And the vest was just £4. I did buy these for my holiday but as its been a lovely hot day I thought I would bust them out today!
My sandals are just my new look ones that I wear quite often as I love them, and they just got perfectly with the outfit.

Review - B Makeup Brush Cleanser

Hi Guys

Anyone tried this then?
I spotted it in Superdrug and thought I would try it. I've been looking for a reasonably priced brush cleanser for a while now. And in saying that this one costs £4.99.

I do actually mean to pick up the boot no7 one as I've heard that's really good.

I can't say I had ever seen/heard of this brand of before which also intrigued me. (Love a new product). On the Superdrug website it says that this cleanser is a gentle formula that is great to use on natural and synthetic bristles which is very correct. Both types of bristles cleaned really well. I also really like the fact that it would be a fab product to use for a makeup artist to quickly clean brushes in between clients, as it dries super quick and is antibacterial.
Great for everyday use between deep cleans, because come on, ain't no one got time for deep cleans every week! Hahaha!

I will just get a flannel, squirt on some of the cleanser and swirl my brushes around until clean. It does remove the makeup really quickly.

I only really have one bad thing to say about this product, and it is something that would probably put me off purchasing it again. The scent of it is horrible! I just really can't stand it.

Anyone who can recommend any other good cleanser to use please let me know.

New Bag Love!

Hi Guys!

I have a new found love and it's the shape of a bag! I spied this little beauty in Primark.

I Hadn't seen it in there before and I'd been looking for the perfect evening holiday bag and this is the one!
Sounds dramatic but bags are important lol.

I went for black which a lot of people wouldn't necessarily take on holiday, but I have so many different colours to wear in the evenings I've played it safe. Plus I'm not one for taking loads of different bags with me. Beach bag and evening bag will do me! (And of course any I find to buy to bring home! Haha).

Tassels as we all know are bang on trend right now so obviously I had to jump on the bandwagon and buy one. It cost just £7 and is the perfect evening bag size. It has a long strap which can be made to whatever length you wish. Which I like for holidays as I do tend to like a cross over bag. (I'm always paranoid of pick pocketers abroad!)
The hard wear on it is gold which I love and it has a zip along the top. Inside there is a zippy pocket and another pocket for your phone on the opposite side.

Can't wait to use it! Under 7 weeks to holidayyyy whoop!

Battle of the Micellar waters!

Hi Guys!

So what else Is there to do on a Sunday morning at 8am other than blogging right?
No idea why I'm up this early on my only day off however it seems a good thing, as I've been soooo busy with my day job I just haven't had time to blog.mso sorry about that guys.

As you can see from the title of this blog I'm reviewing some Micellar waters I've been trialling over the last few months. I have 4 that I've used but could only picture 3 as I seem to have lost one of my empty bottles.

So the first one I tried was the Garnier Micellar cleansing water. This beauty retails at £4.99 but it is often on sale. It's a great size bottle too at 400mls. There are several types you can buy but mine was for sensitive skin and is perfume free.
It does say 400mls = 200 uses. I can't say I got 200 uses however I didn't count. I did like how this poured out though, which may seem like a strange thing to say but the loreal one was a nightmare. But it did seem to last well. This one was perfect for taking off eye makeup including waterproof mascara. It literally just melted it off.

So on to the Loreal skin perfection Micellar water. This is the same price as the Garnier but only half the size. So that was my first fail with this one.
The product itself was really nice to use, and again took off waterproof makeup well.
However, as I said this one for pouring out was a nightmare. I felt like I used the bottle up so quickly because it would pour out so quick and so much at once. This one is also good for sensitive skin and fine to use on eyes, even though there was a slight decent to it.

Next was the Simple kind to skin Micellar water. This one is again only 200ml and costs £4.49. It pours well and seemed to last really well too.
Being in the simple range it's perfect for those who do suffer with sensitive skin, so it was perfect for your eyes too.
I don't think this one melted off my makeup quite as well as the Garnier one, but it was good to use too.

Finally I've recently been using the Superdrug Gentle Micellar water from the vitamin E range. Again it's just 200mls however it's only £2.99 so a great price.
But... It's definitely my least favourite. It smells sooo nice and is ok to use on skin, but on your eyes no! It stings! Even though it's called gentle Micellar. It's definitely not. So whilst using this I've used my simple wipes to remove my eye makeup and then this to remove my face makeup.
In my eyes I'd much prefer one of the others that I can just use all over my face.
I do have to say though all 4 that I've tried do remove all reminents of makeup and left my skin feeling really clean and fresh. Also none of these have made me have any break outs which is a big bonus for all of them!

Hope you've found this helpful. Let me know what your favourite Micellar waters are!

Summers Day Outfit!

Hi Guys!

Thought I would share an outfit post with you again, as like I said before I want to get more into doing fashion posts.

This was just a casual daytime outfit on a hot sunny Saturday, and boy was it hot hot hot!

The picture was taken later in the day as the sun was going down.

I can't link my skirt as it was from Primark last summer. (Sorry)

I'm definitely not one for skirts normally but when it's super hot they can be so cool to wear. Especially as I'm such a jean lover.

It's a high waisted skirt in my favourite summer colours, coral and mint green with a little white and black. I just paired it with a basic black strap top from Asda and my Primark sandals which have cute Daisy's on them.
You may still be able to get these as they were this years collection.
My necklace was also from asda and I think it does dress the outfit up slightly.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Please leave me a comment if your liking the couple of fashion posts I've done.
